Is quite a painful experience to be scammed, so you need to be Wiser than these scammers.

However, scammers over the years have deployed many tactics and strategies to scam people of their money.

You can avoid their numerous tactics if you will put to practice what I will be telling you in this article.

Why do people scam others

It is obvious that the whole reason people get themselves in online scamming is to take advantage of people’s ignorance to defraud them of their money.

The main reason they do this is best known to them but whatever may be the reason is all centered around the covetous evil desire to make money by all means.

Scammers are all over the internet and you need to be aware of this.

How do scammers operate

Scammers operate in So Many Ways. They have different tactics to lure people and defraud them.

The following are the ways scammers operate

YouTube comments:

Don’t be surprised about this.

Scammers are all over the YouTube comments, I don’t know if you have experienced this before, I watched a YouTube video, and after watching the video, I dropped a comment in the comment section.

After a little while, someone replied to my comment.

This person impersonated the owner of that YouTube channel he or she (I don’t care to know the gender) used the exact picture and name of the YouTube channel owner.

He dropped his WhatsApp number and I contacted the scammer on WhatsApp.

He was introducing me to an investment platform that will earn me so much profit.

He asked me to give him money to help me invest.

It was then I started having that feeling that I’m not at the right place.

I later discovered that the person who owned that YouTube channel was impersonated.

So guys, be very careful on youtube.

Here is how to know if a person replying to your comment is actually the real owner of that youtube channel and not an impersonator.

The picture below illustrates how it will look like if the real YouTube channel owner is impersonated by a scammer.

And if the person that replies to your comment is the real owner of the YouTube channel, the name of that person which is the YouTube channel will be shaded as seen below.

That’s how to know that you are not communicating with an impersonator in the comment section on YouTube.

Social media platforms:

There are a lot of scammers who are on social media also. All they do is to take advantage of anyone they come in contact with and defraud them.

Be careful on different social media platforms. Scammers are at work.

Via phone calls

Guys, I am telling you the gospel truth.

I have experience this so many times. I can’t count the number of times I will pick different calls on my phone from scammers.

There was a day I was just having some good time at home around 4 p.m. in the evening.

My phone ranged, and I answered the call, the next thing I heard was “good afternoon sir how are you doing? We are from access bank your customer care service, we are trying to fix some issues in your account, so we need you to help call out some of your details to help figure it out.”

Meanwhile, my bank had already warned me that they’re not gonna call me and if I see any call that claims to have come from their bank is scammers, I should not give them any information about my account details.

So I asked this man “what information do you need from me?” and he replied “we need your card number, we want to use it to fix some issues in your account.”

I knew his intention, so I decided to frustrate him by saying I lost my ATM card, O boy this man was very provoked and he told me “you must be very stupid, do you think we are joking here? (It was then I knew that scammers are serious with their business).

So i replied him furiously, “baba, go find work do”. That was how the call ended. The whole idea and lesson here is that, never give out any sensitive information concerning your account on phone to strangers.

If you have any issues with your account, please go to the bank and sort it out.

Scamming make money from online websites:
